Terms & Conditions for Uncle Ben’s Express & Morrisons Text 2 Win Prize Draw
Promotion open to UK residents aged 18 years or over, excluding employees of the Promoter or Morrisons, their immediate families or agents, or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.
The promotion starts at 12.01am on 15.02.10 and will close at 11.59pm 07.03.10 (the "Entry Period").
To participate, entrants should text "SHOPPING” to 80878. Only one entry per mobile phone number. No third party or bulk entries will be accepted. Text entries are charged at your standard network charge, but may not be included in a pre-paid text package. Entrants should ensure that they have the bill payer's permission before sending a text entry.
All valid entries will receive a bounce-back text message within 24 hours as confirmation of receipt of entry. The Promoter is responsible for the cost of this entry confirmation, which is the only proof of receipt of entry by the Promoter. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any text entries that fail to be received for any reason whatsoever.
The prize draw will take place on 08.03.10, and will be supervised by an independent person (the "Prize Draw"). The winners will be the first 2 entries drawn at random from all valid text entries received during the Entry Period. The result of the Prize Draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Each winner will win a prize of a year's worth of shopping at Morrisons (the "Prizes"). The Prizes will be presented in shopping vouchers to the value of £5,200 (equating to an average spend per week of £100 over the year). The shopping vouchers have no expiry date and can be used by the winners in any way, subject to Morrisons' standard terms and conditions of use. The vouchers may be redeemed at participating branches of Morrisons in full or in part payment for goods and services. No further amounts will be paid to the winners once they have used the vouchers.
The Prizes are as stated, are non-transferable and no cash alternatives are available. The Promoter reserves the right to award alternative prizes of equal or greater value, should the advertised Prizes become unavailable for any reason.
The winners will be notified within 5 days of the Prize Draw by telephone using the number used to submit the text entry. In the event that the Promoter is unable to make contact with a winner within 28 days of the Prize Draw, the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw that Prize and award it to an alternative winner from the remaining valid entries, in which case the Promoter is under no obligation to the previous winner. The winners will receive their Prize by registered post within 28 days of notification.
The winners’ details (names and counties only) will be available for 6 weeks only by sending a SAE (to be received after 13.03.10) to Uncle Ben’s Express, Text 2 Win, LIFE Agency, 45 Frederick Street, Birmingham, B1 3HN.
By participating in the promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Any breach of these terms and conditions by a winner may result in forfeiture of their Prize.
The winners may be required to participate in related publicity.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law (but not otherwise) the Promoter and its agents assume no responsibility for and are not liable for any person whose mobile phone is used to enter without the owner or bill payer's permission. The bill payer is accepted as the entrant and should their mobile number be selected as a winner they will be the sole claimant of the Prize.
The Promoter cannot be responsible for loss of vouchers making up the Prizes, once received by the winners.
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.
This promotion and these terms and conditions are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English and Welsh Courts.
