Terms & Conditions for Uncle Ben’s Text 2 Win Prize Draw - Somerfield

1. Promotion open to UK residents aged 18 years or over, excluding Mars and Somerfield employees and their families, agents, or anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.
2. No purchase necessary.
3. Closing date for entries is 10.03.08
4. To enter, participants should text either RICE or SAUCE to 83010 (RICE if the consumer has seen the prize draw advertisied in Somerfield Magazine, or SAUCE if the consumer has seen the prize draw advertised on an A5 leaflet or instore barker).  Only one entry per mobile phone number.  Text entries are charged at your standard network charge.  Entrants should ensure that they have the bill payer's permission before sending a text entry.
5. All valid entries will receive one bounce-back text message within 24 hours as confirmation of entry in the prize draw.  The Promoter is responsible for the cost of this entry acknowledgement.
6. There are 5 prizes of one 32” HD Television per winner.
7. The prize is as stated, is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.
8. The prize draw will be supervised by an independent person and will take place on 14.03.08. The winners will be the first 5 entries drawn at random from all valid text entries received before the closing date.
9. The result of the prize draw is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. The winners will be notified within 7 days of the draw by telephone.

12. Proof of sending a text entry is not proof of receipt by the Promoter.  The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are lost or delayed, whether due to lack of network coverage or any other technical reason beyond the Promoter’s control.
13. By taking part in promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.  Any breach of these terms and conditions by the winner may result in the forfeiture of the prize.
14. The Promoter reserves the right to award an alternative prize of equal or greater value, should the advertised prize or any part of it become unavailable for any reason.
15. The winner may be required to participate in related publicity.
16. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.
17. In the event that the Promoter is unable to make contact with a winner within 28 days, the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw the prize, in which case the original winner will forfeit any claim to a prize.
