Moroccan Meatballs

These moroccan meatballs are spiced with turmeric and cumin, inspired by morroccan flavours! Using cool low fat yoghurt, you can turn down the heat to your taste.

  • Pack of 10 pre-made meatballs
  • ½ white onion (diced)
  • 1 garlic clove (crushed)
  • ½ tsp. cumin
  • ½ tsp. turmeric
  • ¼ tsp. chilli powder
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp low fat yoghurt
  • 1 handful coriander leaves
  • 1 pouch UNCLE BEN’S® Rice & Grains Wholegrain & Quinoa 220g


  1. Pre heat a large frying pan with 2 tbsp. of oil. Add the pre made meat balls and cook for 2 minutes to get colour on all sides. Add the diced onions, crushed garlic and all the spices, allow to cook for 5 minutes. Add the canned chopped tomatoes turn down the heat and allow to simmer for a further 7-8 minutes stirring occasionally.
  2. Roughly chop the coriander leaves and combine with the yoghurt and set aside until the meatballs and tomato sauce have finished cooking. Squeeze the Uncle Ben’s® Wholegrain & Quinoa Rice pouch to separate rice, tear a 3cm vent, and then microwave on full power for 2 minutes.
  3. Once everything has finished cooking plate up and enjoy!
